This covers a 6.8-inch IPS LCD size with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels and a 120Hz refreshing rate of the screen to enhance the videos and game graphics. There’s an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 CPU and Adreno 613 GPU for a solid performance on general operations and small gaming.
Three important note features are the RAM and ROM – the device includes 4GB of RAM and 256GB ROM for its operating system and applications. The photography comprises a wide angle 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor on the rear while the front has a 5 MP camera for selfies.
The Smartphone carries a strong 5200 mAh battery for efficiency with components of fast and wireless charging hence extended usage during the day. The device developers support the Android 14 platform and Magic OS 8 and equip it with diverse AI enhancements to enhance usability.

The device is available in colors like Forest Green and Midnight Black, with a launch price starting at approximately PKR 62,100 in Pakistan.
Pros
- Camera Performance: Cameras on the Honor 200 also speak for themselves – 50 MP of a main sensor balanced for good illumination, perfect for portraits, with that studio-like sheen.
- Display Quality: It carries a high refresh rate of 6.7inch AMOLED screen supporting 120Hz with a peak brightness of 4000nits for better visibility during sunny days.
- Battery Life: The device features a 5,200 mAh battery and supports charging up to 100W, allowing users to quickly recharge it and use it throughout the day at an average load.
- Performance: Equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, the Honor 200 provides fluid operation in productivity and gaming along with manageable heating issues.
Cons
- Low-Light Photography: On the flip side, it does well in ambient lighting but cannot produce good quality low light with soft detail, low contrast, and lack of focus.
- Software Experience: That is why the MagicOS 8 has been recognized for its steep learning curve and has some bloatware to it.
- Lack of IP Rating: It is also important to note that the Honor 200 needed to be provided with an IP68 rating for water and dust protection like some of its counterparts which could be a con to some users.
Conclusion
In September 2024, the company will unveil the Honor 200 Smart as a mid-tier smartphone featuring a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, a 5200mAh battery, fast and wireless charging, and it will run on Android 14 with Magic OS 8. This Smartphone has an efficient performance, which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor power. Researchers have observed dissimilarities in low-light imaging, operation systems, and the absence of an IP68 dust/water resistance rating.
For myself, specifically the Honor 200 Smart successfully satisfies the performance, digital camera, and battery demands it offers, mainly it can be optimal for the mid-range mobile phone market. How crucial is the low light photography performance for you? Does the lack of an IP68 rating impact your purchasing decision?
