The Sony Xperia 1 VI is the latest premium smartphone from Sony. It features several key upgrades over previous models:

- A 24mm wide angle lens with an Exmor T for mobile image sensor for excellent low-light performance and fast AI-powered autofocus tracking
- AI-assisted camera features like AF tracking with human pose estimation, borrowed from Sony’s Alpha cameras

The Sony Xperia 1 V has several pros and cons that are given below:

- Solid battery life
- Fun, zero-fat triple rear camera
- A rare high-end phone with a headphone socket
- Amazing level of control over photo/video capture

- Still offers microSD and headphone jack support
Cons:
- Edges are quite sharpÂ
- Top-heavy when heldÂ
- Not a single cable is includedÂ
- Design feels dated and is tough to use one-handedÂ
- Cameras can’t match auto modes on Samsung or Google phonesÂ
- Fingerprint sensor issuesÂ
- $1,400 price tag is considered too expensiveÂ
- Gets warm with little provocationÂ
- Fingerprint sensor should be betterÂ
- Optical zoom lens is softÂ
- Slow chargingÂ
- Default images are unimpressiveÂ
- More expensive than rival flagship phonesÂ
Overall, the Xperia 1 VI aims to deliver an enhanced photography and entertainment experience with its advanced camera system, display, and audio capabilities in a premium smartphone package.
Conclusion:
Sony Xperia 1 VI is characterized by high-end smartphone capabilities in areas such as photography with a new telephoto optical zoom, AI auto focus and intuitive camera application. Its 1. Higher brightness than the 4K display, better visibility, and better audio make it a viable option in the high-end market. But it has been criticized for being uncomfortable, have sharp edges, top heavy design, and lack of accessories, amongst others, with a high price tag. It shines in creating photo and video capture rules, but lacks auto modes in comparison to Samsung and Google.
One of my favorite options about the Xperia 1 VI is its excellent camera control with expandable memory; however, it has a high price, and the auto mode experience is not as good as expected. Do you also think that you are ready to pay extra for such a sophisticated level of control over photography on a smartphone? Which other aspects such as expandable memory and headphone jack matter to you in buying flagship phones?
